The Radical Eye, Modernist Photography from the Sir Elton John Collection

November 10, 2016 - May 7, 2017

The work of Josef Breitenbach features strongly in the Tate Modern's The Radical Eye, Modernist Photography from the Sir Elton John Collection. A total of 7 unique Breitenbach photographs are on view in this monumental exhibition, with the majority of the works hung in the "Experiments" section in the company of photographers Man Ray, Harry Callahan, Bernice Abbott, André Kertész and Herbert Bayer.

Breitenbach also received recognition in the New York Times  review of the show, stating his "Surrealist stills" were "lesser-known gems" in the exhibition.
